About One Piece Wiki
Who We Are
One Piece Wiki exists to map the impossible — the Grand Line, the New World, and over 1000 chapters of the most ambitious story ever told in manga. With more than 1100 named characters, over 150 confirmed Devil Fruit powers, and a world spanning dozens of islands each with unique cultures and political systems, One Piece presents a documentation challenge that no existing resource fully meets. Our wiki was created to track the Straw Hat Pirates' journey island by island, catalog every Devil Fruit by type (Paramecia, Zoan, Logia, and their awakened variants), and analyze the Haki system with precision that matches Oda's own carefully constructed rules. From the East Blue to Egghead and beyond, we document every saga with chapter references and cross-linked character profiles that help both newcomers and long-time readers navigate this massive world.
The scope of One Piece is unmatched in the medium. A story that has been running for over two decades with no sign of slowing down requires a reference that grows alongside it. Our editors track the story in real time, updating Devil Fruit classifications, bounty updates, and crew affiliations as new chapters release each week.
Our Mission
One Piece Wiki exists for three reasons. First, the Devil Fruit encyclopedia needs a resource that categorizes fruits not just by type but by combat application, awakening status, and known users — we track every confirmed Devil Fruit with detailed ability breakdowns sourced from specific chapter numbers. Second, the Haki system requires dedicated analysis distinguishing the three types and their advanced applications: Kenbunshoku (Observation) with future sight variants, Busoshoku (Armament) with emission and internal destruction techniques, and Haoshoku (Conqueror's) with its infusion ability — detail that most wikis treat superficially. Third, the story's massive scope demands an arc-by-arc guide that connects character appearances, power progression, and world-building revelations across all 30+ major story arcs, revealing the narrative tapestry that makes One Piece the best-selling manga in history. Every page on this wiki cites specific chapter and episode sources so readers can verify each claim against the original work.
How We Create Content
Every article on One Piece Wiki goes through four stages before publication:
- Research — Our editors track the weekly Shonen Jump releases alongside the official Viz translations, cross-referencing Devil Fruit names, ability descriptions, and character affiliations against the latest chapter data.
- Writing — Each entry is written with attention to both current story context and long-term narrative implications. A Devil Fruit page explains not just what the power does but how its user has applied it across different arcs.
- Review — Entries are reviewed for sourcing accuracy. When the anime filler expands on a concept briefly shown in the manga, we document the additional content while clearly labeling it as anime-only.
- Updates — Pages include visible last-updated dates. New chapter releases — Devil Fruit awakenings, Haki advancements, character bounties — are reflected within days of official release.
